About

My name is Giovanna, Bonny is my middle name and what my friends call me back home.

I am originally from Colombia but I’ve been living in the UK for the past 16 years.
I like creative stuff and I really enjoy making things with my hands. I work for the NHS as a Medical Technologist and I love making dolls in my days off.
I started to make them a year ago when a friend of mine told me she was making one for her niece so I decided to try to make my own. It was actually more difficult than I thought. I already had a sewing machine and some fabrics so I spent a lot of time trying to make a doll I really like. The first doll I made was for my little nephew who live far away, a doll for him to remember me by hence the dark skin tones.
After good feedbacks I decided to start selling my dolls.
They are not mass-produced dolls. They are drawn and handmade by myself in a small flat in Islington, London.
I do everything at the moment: the drawing, cutting, stuffing, sewing and packaging. Each one looks different which make them all unique.
The body is made from Robert Kaufman cotton fabrics, outfit from Dashwood Studio cottons and the hair is 100% merino wool yarn.
They are CE tested.
BonnyDollies are made with no age group in particular so everybody can enjoy them.
I hope you like my dolls as much as I do and they put a big smile on your face
